Description:In April 1634 twenty nine pounds and four shillings were paid ‘for the garden & for worke done by the gardener & by his severall worke men’. In the same month payments of six shillings were made ‘for a Seate in Sir Richards garden’. Later in April 1634 six shillings and sixpence were ‘Paid to Raphe Sutton for making a portall doore into the Kitchin garden’.
